Single Phase Power meter
Project Abstract / Summary : Today the world has turned digital. The earlier used power meter were analog in which the magnetically induced coil were used for measurement. The coil deflects according to amount of electrical quantities. Also various meters were to be used for measuring different quantities. Thus measurements were difficult and takes time.Power meter using advanced controller is easy and convenient way to measure the electrical quantities across the load of motor. It is digital and non contact type thus the accuracy of readings are high. Also it is portable and easy to handle easy to use. Also various electrical quantities can be measured in single unit.
This project helps in measuring the ratings of motor or in other words it helps in measuring the quantities such as current, voltage, power, etc. across the load of motor which gives brief if there is any problem with the motor. We can define the performance of motor on the basis of our readings.
Why did you choose to work on this project topic : It seems like interesting thing that we have refused a project in ONGC related to SCADA. It contains the use of advanced controller namely Tiva C based TM4C123
which is completely new for us and we can learn many things about what is going on in the market and which things are in use in market.
