  • Hi CEans I had heard lot about the utilization of magnetic power in various modes in automobile Industry. It Includes magnetic suspension, magnetic ride control, locks, etc but I want to know whether there is any provision for using Magnetic power in automobile sector especially in engine.I had an idea where we can use electromagnet in the top of the engine and a piston made up of ferrous material. If a sequence of attraction and repelsion is created in electromagnets by using a battery, Can we run the engine? How much power will be required for doing this process? Is this idea feasible?I had a idea of doing this as my project work So please give a piece of advice.

Does it produce adequate torque to run the vehicle?
Or can we use it in bicycle arena? Tagging @#-Link-Snipped-# @#-Link-Snipped-# @#-Link-Snipped-# @#-Link-Snipped-# @#-Link-Snipped-# @#-Link-Snipped-# @#-Link-Snipped-# sao that I can get wide suggestions. All CEans are welcomed to post their critics.

One thing is for sure There will be a lot of heating and cooling and this will adversely affect magnetization of the piston resulting in failure of design

Piston has to convert power to drive an engine The power consumed for this process is too high to run an engine efficiency

The net efficiency of the design will be really low
