Samsung's Next S Pen Could Feature Microphone And Speaker

One of the unique features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the S Pen functionality. Well, Samsung is now bettering it by adding a built-in microphone and speaker. Two Samaung patents, recently published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), revealed as to what might be the future of the S Pen for the Galaxy Note device family.

According to the #-Link-Snipped-# filing, Samsung plans to prepare the S Pen as a substitute for the Bluetooth enabled wireless headsets and allow the user "to mount the pen to a shirt pocket" and communicate in a phone call. This will enable users to make phone calls, send messages and make different voice commands even with the phablet in our pocket. This will have certainly help in adding more features to the S Pen SDK, which developers can use to add S Pen features to their application. The #-Link-Snipped-# application shows a protruding grip, which expands automatically once the stylus is drawn from the device. This will help in improving the grip mechanism of the S Pen.

Even though there are these patents, it doesn't necessarily mean that Samsung will bring them all to light. Although there is a possibility that some of these improvements might be implemented in the Galaxy Note 4. With these patents, what more do you think Samsung could implement?
