Samsung Tests 350 PPI OLED Displays; Apple's Retina Has Competition

Who wouldn't love more pixels on their screen if they mean ultra sharp resolution displays? Samsung is reportedly working on ultra-crisp, razor sharp 350 PPI (Pixels Per Inch) displays back in South Korea. Interesting. We are all in love with High-Definition Retina Displays from Apple and Samsung's Super-AMOLED screens, but would we mind upgrading a bit more? The revolutionary Apple Retina has a pixel density of 326 ppi. Now news has it that, Samsung has developed an OLED (organic light emitting diode) display with 350 PPI to bring more beautiful and colorful displays to our screens.

Such pixel density is a result of a technology from Samsung called Final Metal Mask (FMM). Looks like the company has abandoned the use of L ITI technology that it used earlier to create portable displays. There is no word about when Samsung will be outing these new displays, but we can look forward to them during next years Consumer Electronics Show or Mobile World Congress. What say you?
