Samsung Galaxy SII ICS update available now

#-Link-Snipped-# (NDTV) is available in India now. 😁
anyone else going update their GS2.
I am fairly new to smartphone so any suggestion about taking backup of phone before update??

    Good to hear that. But I'm surprised that the SII ICS update has followed Note's update. Samsung had made the ICS update for SII available long time ago. Just wondering what's on their mind.

    You don't have to, but better be safe than sorry. KIES is a very good way to backup your contacts. I'd not care for messages or settings. But saving contacts is highly recommended.

    In my previous incremental update; I had lost apps. But that shouldn't be the case with Apps. There's no way to back up apps, right? Or is there?

    Updated to ICS 4.0.3... everything is restored...Menu and environment changed
    but icons are still same 😒

    Good to know that, and congratulations on upgrading your SII's firmware. Did you figure out any mechanism to backup your apps?

    There are some apps like Titanium Backup are there but didn't required. nothing lost.😀
    Updating happened in just two clicks.👍
