  • The launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is just few months away, but we're already getting a taste of what's cooking in Samsung's labs. It's expected that Samsung will formally announce the Note 4 at the IFA 2014 in Berlin, Germany. Samsung has led the mobile markets by creating a new product line with big-sized phones+tables aka phablets and the Note's been one of the most important product line for Samsung; selling millions of these phablets worldwide. Naturally, the excitement for the Note 4 is high; because it'll be competing directly with the soon-to-be-announced iPhone 6 and rivals from other companies. Let's take a quick look at the technical specs and features which have been leaked in the media.

    Samsung-Galaxy-Note-4

Note's USP has been its extra-large display and a stylus aka the S-Pen and Samsung's kept the form factor bigger than the rivals. You may remember that the original Galaxy Note phone had a 5.3" display. While the Samsung's S-series has almost caught up with Note, with a 5.1" display on S5; Note's maintained its unique identity. Samsung seems to have found a sweet spot for the size of their phablets. Leaks show that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have a 5.5" or 5.6" Super AMOLED, Full HD display; with a pixel density of about 534 pixels per inch. Other specs which have been leaked are as follows:-
    • CPU : Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Quad-Core @ 2.5 GHz
    • Memory: 3GB
    • On-Board Storage: 32 / 64 GB with microSD support up to 128 GB.
    • Camera: Rear - 16 MP. 1080p Full HD capture at 60fps and 2160 @ 30 fps.
    • Camera: Front - 2 MP. 1080p video capture at 30 fps.
No information is available about the S-Pen and battery specs or the operating system. However, you can be sure that the Note 4 will ship with a B shaped USB 3.0 port for external connection and battery charging. We promise to keep you posted about the latest developments. Stay tuned!

Samsung, please bring front speakers to Note series! I wouldn't ask for more.😁

    Nice look.. 😀

I wish that its high time company like Samsung takes a decision that they won't launch next successor of any phone series before an year.

NOTE 2, was released launched not more than a year back, then came NOTE 3 and now rumors of NOTE 4. Just imagine what a user (example #-Link-Snipped-# 😁) will think when he or she spent 30 grands on a phone that will become outdated within an year.

You know more frustrations, when Samsung announces that it won't support the latest android in the older phones.

#-Link-Snipped-# - The phone shown in the first post is actually an artists's imagination. The actual photographs are yet to be leaked. I've used Note for a long time and absolutely love the phone. The question is not about the phone being outdated, but how productive it makes you. I'm happy with my phone because no matter where I am - it can get my job done; be it checking email, performing moderation duties or typing a reply on CE.

I'm anyway done with all my love for phones. 😀

This era can be termed as experimental. So let it be. There are people willing to buy phones. And since phones get lower in price, now the less-fortunate people can opt for second hand models at cheaper prices.😀 Competition is always welcome, but it's the 'real' breakthrough that should be entertained - not so many similar lookers with some random numbers added to alphabets in various orders to characterize the model!

P.S.: I don't think people are willing to wait. So let companies make money now. Once Project ARA gets alive, then it's gonna be a whole different level of competition!👍
