  • Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Launched In India - Specs Overview

    Samsung has upgraded its Galaxy flagship by launching its latest smartphone, Galaxy Core Prime, in India. The mobile is now available on shopping websites eBay and Amazon in India with a price tag of Rs 9,275 and Rs 10,170 respectively. The mid range phone is set to compete against the likes Motorola, Micromax, Intex and a host of other well established players. This dual sim (GSM + GSM) smartphone is a slim and sleek device in white finish with a host of user friendly features.

    Core

    Heading to the technical specifications, Galaxy Core Prime has 4.5 inch capacitive touchscreen that renders a vivid screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The phone is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and works on Android KitKat 4.4.2 operating system for providing an above average performance. Talking about the storage, Core Prime has 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and the external memory can be expanded up to 64 GB with the help of an external memory card. The slots for both the sims are regular unlike most of other smartphones that require micro or nano sims. The dimensions of the product are 13.1 x 0.9 x 6.8 cm. It weighs a modest 132 g.

    Core prime

    The Core Prime comes with 5 MP primary camera and secondary camera of 2 MP. The camera has features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and flash support. It comes with removable battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh. The connectivity includes Bluetooth, Micro-USB and HSDPA. The sensors include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

    The features present in this new Samsung launch are nothing out of the ordinary. It seems that Samsung has decided to stick with the basics and provide the users with an enriched experience in a mid budget phone.
