Samsung Full HD Curved Monitors Launched At $300 Starting Price
Samsung is geared up about the launch of its three new curved monitors in a variety of different sizes, all offering superior picture quality. The three monitors making Samsung's curved monitor portfolio a bit more interesting are the 31.5-inch SE590C Curved Monitor, the 27-inch SE591C Curved Monitor and the SE510C Curved Monitor available in 23.6-inch & 27-inch options. Curved displays have been in discussion circles of the tech community ever since their arrival. For Samsung, the SE790C curved monitor was a major attraction this year at the CES 2015 event and with these products launched, the company should be ecstatic about up-ing its game in the new market. As for the pricing, the costliest of the lot is the SE590C priced at $599.99, whereas the SE591C and SE510C will be retailed for $399.99 and $299.99 respectively.
The three different curved monitor options bring a rich set of specifications with them. For instance, the monitors all have full HD resolution and their curvature ranges from 3000R to 4000R. Along with a maximum contrast ratios of 5,000:1, the new Samsung curved monitors offer brightness ratios of 250 to 350 cd/m2.
A major plus point of curved monitors is that they decrease eye fatigue even after looking at them for long periods of time. This is because users donât need to shift focus to see the ends of the screen, owing to the display's curvature. To enhance this experience, Samsung also brings the Eye Saver Mode (which decreases the monitor's blue light) and Flicker Free technology (which removes flicker - a major problem with conventional monitors). Among the three monitors, Samsung engineers bring two 5W built-in dual stereo speakers to the SE591C and SE590C models. Other than these major features, the company also boasts off the eco-saving mode that adjusts screen brightness for increased energy efficiency.
