Robot which can climb steps automatically

Project Abstract / Summary : we are designing a robot which can climb steps and down the steps.It is based on the simple mechanical,electrical and electronics concepts.e.g gear wheels .solenoid ,sensors etc.. .we used only simple NAND and OR gates for the mechanism.the cost is less than RS 500/- till date no one had done this type of project.it based on fully basic concepts.There are so many handicapped people in and around us with disable in legs. It can be helpful for them to climb the steps easily.To take the heavy loads to upstairs. We may say there are lifts for this purpose but for every house we cant provide a lift.so it is very important for them.
