Renault's Pulse And Duster To Be Launched At The Delhi Auto Expo
Renault has announced the launch of 2 new cars; Renault Pulse and Renault Duster on 6th January 2012 at the Delhi Auto Expo. Pulse was announced at the Formula One Race at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida and Duster at the Buenos Aires Expo long back in June. Pulse is developed by joint endeavor of Renault-Nissan group. The other models launched by the group are Nissan Micra and Sunny Diesel.

This is the first step of Renault to penetrate deep into the market of automobiles in India. Pulse is priced a little higher than Nissan Micra and will be available in showrooms from January 2012. Bookings for the model have commenced already in certain parts of the country. The model runs on 1.5 dCi diesel engine (code name- K9K); the same engine that powers Nissan Micra, Nissan Sunny and Logan. The engine is able to generate a brake power of 64HP at 4000rpm. Moreover the peak torque delivered is 160NM when running at 2000rpm. The expected mileage of pulse is 23kmpl. The parts of Pulse are being designed in Mumbai at Renault's Design Center and are being produced in Chennai at the Nissan's Plant.
Renault Duster, on the other hand, is powered by three engines. The 1.6 liter petrol variant produce 105BHP. The other two are 1.5 liter capacity diesel engines producing 90BHP and 107BHP. In comparison to the old version of this SUV, Duster has new alloy wheels, a revised center console and a chrome dash. The five passenger model will be available from mid 2012.

Pulse is priced in the range of around INR 6,00,000 and Duster will be in the range of INR 7-9,00,000. Though the users will have to wait for a few days to know the exact price of the model which will be revealed at the time of its launch.  There is a good news for the users. Renault offers a unique 2+2 year warranty for the Pulse and this is surely the first such offered deal for a car in this class. Pulse is available in 7 colors, namely Brilliant White, Midnight Black, Striking Silver, Dark Grey, Light Blue, Bright Red and Leaf Green, thus providing great choice to the buyers.
