Reliance 4G Likely In April 2013
We thought #-Link-Snipped-#would become the first company to launch #-Link-Snipped-#. But Bharti #-Link-Snipped-# beat Reliance and #-Link-Snipped-#the 4G network on April 10 in Kolkata. Airtel network has already been launched in Bangalore as well and we expect the company to expand in Maharashtra and Punjab as well. With one major operator already in the 4G arena, we thought other big players would follow the suite, but it looks like Reliance 4G may not be available in India until April 2013.

Company has postponed the 4G trials in Jamnagar to August 2012. The company does not have any network partner agreements as yet and no 4G capable towers are being set up at the moment. That means, Reliance 4G network will have to wait at least until April next year. DNA quotes Mr. Rohit Chordia, a senior analyst with Kotak Securities who believes that Reliance is taking its own time because it plans to launch 4G in India with a bang - all over India.
Reliance is known to disturb the markets with their pricing plans. Right now, 4G in India is costly and we desperately wait for more players to jump into the competition as soon as possible because it will bring the prices down.
