  • Raspberry Pi enthusiasts may find themselves frequenting a new online destination - the Raspberry Pi Projects hub launched by Elecment14. This new resource not only lets you show of your skills & creations but also learn a new things to upgrade your skills to the next level. The hub allows Raspberry Pi creators to try out and store Pi projects. The company also announced the launch of 8GB Raspberry Pi bundle for just $40. It incorporates the B Board and 8GB SD card with all six official Raspberry Pi Foundation approved operating systems preloaded on it.

    The members of the Element14 community are being encouraged to share their creations and upload their projects to the catalogue. The hub also allows each member to rate and like creations of other fellow members.

    There are quite interesting projects in the hub already. If you are a beginner, you may learn how to turn the Raspberry Pi into a fully functional laptop computer and also control your board with your XBOX 360 controller. If you are an advanced user, you may learn how to develop a flow meter to measure water usage. If you love coding - you may find a guide to creating Pumpkin Pi jack-o'lantern with Internet based light and sound control.

    Global Head Of Element14 community, Dianne Kibby said that the Raspberry Pi owners want to challenge themselves to creating more complex projects. The company is also running Connect 4 Challenge in which 25 community developers will be asked to create and document a project built using Pi kit. Other members will rate and like the projects entered by the contestants and there are a series of prizes to be won.
