We can't help with homework, friend. Do your homework on your own. By the way, what's it with 'at least 3 pages'? .

That's homework, mate. You are asking us to do your project, which we cannot do. Simply typing 'Rack and Pinion Mechanism' in Google may not give you lot of information. You'll have to take some effort to find out information through books and also search for relevant terms in Google. If you have very specific questions or doubts, you may ask them here. Simply asking for '3 pages of content' which you will directly submit to your college isn't what we expect our engineers to do.

That reply might sound rude, but we are trying hard to break the 'Give me free lunch' mentality possessed by lot of Indian engineering students. I hope you take this in the right spirit. I'd have following suggestions:

    1. If you are not sure about the topic; ask your college professors for clarification.
    2. The topic cannot be entirely out of syllabus. Maybe its time to pay attention to the books.
    3. Get some clues and start searching the Internet. Internet is full of scattered information about any topic in the world. You'll find lot of interesting information and also have few doubts.
    4. Share those doubts with us here and get answers from the experts.

This entire process will help you in leveraging your knowledge. I hope you will appreciate this.

Asking for ready made content for submission isn't really done.

Rack & Pinion is the mechanism to convert translatory motion to the rotational motion and vice-a-versa. there is one flat gear having teeth on it, and the other one is round. they are in mesh together. Eg, Just imagine with the help of wheel (Rotational motion) your vehicle is moving forward(Tranlatory mation). Like wise.

Well said Big K. Nothing against you Vignesh. You could search google books or google scholar for more information.
