Query on TSOP

We are working with TSOP , and we would like to know that a single 555 timer can be used for how many IR Leds at 38 kHz? Currently, we are using 5 TSOPs , so how many 555 timers would be required?

    You can use the same 555 timer for powering all 5 tsop's I think. It depends on the fan out of the 555 timer. Get the datasheet of the 555 timer and check the fan out of the IC. If it's 5 or greater, you can use the same timer ic to fire all 5 tsop's. If it's not, you'll have to use two, perhaps. You mostly won't need more than two..
