Well most of the time it is cause of the basics we fail a lot big time

This presentation is a best and quick time method to brush up your ideas in PN diodes

In case of any queries or clarification in the article do post here and we will see what all CEans Do best that is help you

My question:

Why is the reverse capacitance of the PN diode as such is not used for any oscillator's Tank circuit?

i think diode is an uncontrollable device and because of its non- linearity,in that situation it may not acts as a capacitor phenomenon.and one more it must have the concept of time constant where normal capacitor does in action.

But still for a fixed voltage the capacitance is also fixed so it can easily act as a timing circuit with a time constant

hey the conqueror, though the junction capacitance is there, it is no constant and more of all the junction capacitance is not steady n that is why we do nor incorporate PN diode in such ckts.

For a fixed temperature and voltage the capacitance is a constant And we have verified it

The only issue we found was that the capacitance of the PN diode is less That is why Varactor diodes came into play

They have higher capacitances than that of PN diode so we use them instead

PS: Found it recently couldn't update it here
