PSP2 Will Have OLED Screen, 3G & Wi-Fi
Multiple sources on the Internet are claiming that Sony will unveil the much awaited next version of Play Station Portable 2 (PSP2) this week. Japanese newspaper Nikkei has released the PSP2 specs. The PSP2 will have OLED screen, 3G and WiFi inbuilt. Now that's something every PSP gamer would love to have!
The AMOLED screens have already proven their superiority over the normal LCD screens. AMOLED screens are much ahead of LCDs in terms of contrasts, rendering the 'blacks' and brightness. The AMOLED screens don't reflect much sunlight and improve the visibility even in sunlight. The technology advancements have already achieved one step beyond and we already have Super AMOLED screen which go one step beyond AMOLED screens. However, there's a shortage of those screens. But the idea of having AMOLED screen for handheld gaming is really interesting.

A 3G connection is the real need of any modern hand-held gaming device. 3G capabilities would open an entire new world of possibilities for PSPs with faster downloads, real time video/audio chats, improved multiplayer gaming and so on. In Japan, the 3G service will be provided by leading telecom operator DOCOMO. There's no official word on whether there will be PSP2 models with just WiFi capabilities.
