Project idea on I.C. Engineering

I am a female PG final year student, middle aged, living with husband and children in Chennai. I work as a teacher for mechanical engineering students. I need to chose a project as apart of my graduation. I like to get guidance and mentoring on the field I study-specifically a research based study project in any problem areas concerned with I.C.Engines. Since I have no access to industries, I like to undertake a study based project.
