Profile Evaluation for MS in US for Fall 2016
Hi everyone, glad to be a part CE's discussion forum, please evaluate my profile for MS in US for Fall 2016.
Field of interest- Mechanical/ automobile/ energy systems [please suggest one which is better as per job prospectus and also with future scope](it's been a tough time for me selecting one, seeking guidance regarding selection of field)
Gre- 304 [160q/144v] Awa- 3.5
Toefl- not given yet [90+ expected]
CGPA- 7 [avg] (4 cleared kts in first attempt. no live kt)
one month internship as a technician at maruti suzuki workshop
looking software certifications of AUTOCAD, ANSYS, SOLIDWORKS by November 2015 [please suggest which ones to go for, if I need to go for other softwares please mention]
Will this profile fetch me admits from univs. like Clemson University, Indiana Univ - Purdue Univ Indianapolis, Polytechnic Institute Of New York University, University of Texas - Arlington, Michigan Technological University ? If not then according to you which ones should I opt for? [please provide some names since all the grad school finder websites aren't accurate enough to evaluate the profile than a experienced student or any other person is]
How much impact does work exp have on admits? If I'm looking for mech/auto do I need to get work exp based on above profile? If yes then of what duration 1,2,3..years?
Thanks in advance
