As far as I know there is no problem with that. My friend has a car which indicates fuel consumption and I noticed that the reading goes to zero when he takes his foot off the accelerator pedal. I asked him about this and he told me that the technical specifications note that the fuel supply is stopped altogether. The motor still turns (it would break if you just stopped it abruptly - momentum) but there is just no spark and fuel = no drive force.

acc to me there wil be decrease in eff. of vehicle due to suden stopage of vehicle as the supply of fuel may stop and results in abrupt destruction or reduction in eff.
