Problem with IE8

hi friends. recently i installed IE-8 i my machine. but i want IE6 back now.
can any one tell me how to do that!. i tried add/remove windows components. but its not working

    Downgrading IE versions require changes in the registry settings. Theres no easy way to do this because old version of IE are not secure anymore.

    Is IE8 giving you issues? Would you consider other browsers such as Firefox or Opera?

    The performance with ie8 very poor it seems
    Basically it struggles to render gwt, jquery based stuff
    Even am digging registry to get back ie6
