    The Princess Tower overlooking the Palm Jumeirah Islands is now officially the world’s tallest residential building. On 21st, May, 2012 Guinness World Records #-Link-Snipped-# that the Princess Tower which rises to a height of 413.4 meters would now be the world’s tallest residential building. This new addition to the Dubai Marina skyline topped out some time back but was recognized by the Guinness World Records only now.

    The tower which rises to 107 storeys, which includes six basement floors, one ground level floor and 100 floors above the ground, houses 8 retail stores. The Princess tower spread over 37,410 square feet has 763 luxury apartments with choices of one, two, three, four bedroom apartments, duplexes and Penthouses. The highest occupied floor is at 356.9 m height (1,171 ft). It satisfies Guinness criteria for Residential building by allotting 85% or more of its usable floor area to residential purposes.

    The Princess towers built by Tameer allows the users to live a luxury life. The towers has many facilities which include Indoor & Outdoor Swimming Pools, Well equipped Gymnasium and Aerobics Room, Recreation rooms with facilities to play various games, Sauna Rooms, Landscaped Podium, Retail Outlets on the Ground Floor and High Speed Elevators. The top floor will host the gatherings and it has some recreational activities.

    And so now officially Dubai is home not only to the world’s tallest building (Burj Khalifa) but also the world’s tallest residential building (Princess Tower).
