Preparation for gate with a job

Can anyone help me out with this Question....I am from ME branch and i have got placed at tcs. I had appeared for gate this year and i am sure that i am not going to make it this year, so i am planning to prepare for gate again this year. So shall i quit my job for this and study for GATE or is it possible to crack get and get into iits doing my job. Anyone who has gone through this situation please help?
