Pothole Repair = Not just an Indian problem
Potholes left without repair are a nightmare in Bangalore and quite a bit of the rest of India. With the swarm of two wheelers (almost one per person in many middle class households) the number of maiming accidents traceable to potholes is huge. repair of potholes is a major source of under the table income for those in charge. There is no validation of these repairs, which disintegrate rapidly leaving bigger pot holes.
Apparently poorly repaired pot holes lead to a cumulative auto mobile repair bill of a billion pounds in UK. A massive research programme to asses such repairs is under way.
How about here?
