Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative Is Finally Here; Aren't You Just GLaD?

Those jobless hours are long gone because we have been tricked, tricked into joining the single greatest organization ever. Portal 2 is out with its latest DLC, allowing users to create their own test chambers. Simple and elegant in design, it makes architecture a matter of a point, click and drag.

After the patch is downloaded and the game is run, you'll see the change reflected in the main menu. A new addition titled “Community Test Chambers” gets you started on the Perpetual Testing Initiative with a sweet intro from Cave Johnson. For that matter, Johnson makes it a point to stage an amusing visit at the beginning of every level you play.

After you are redirected from the main menu, you are offered with an option to “Play Community Test Chambers.” Choose that and then  “Browse Workshop”  to arrive at the Portal 2 Steam Workshop. Here, you can search, rate and browse through everyone’s levels.  Search terms and tags are provided to assist you in finding the level of your choice.

As far as designing your own test chambers is considered, brace yourselves for it is fully 3D and can be rotated by dragging outside the level or using the mouse wheel. Each level's infrastructure is made up of basic cubes in a play space of 25 x 25 x 25, but if you have played Portal 2 before then you know that it is enough to dazzle one's mind.

Look at me still talking when there's Science to do! Check the introduction video, narrated by Cave Johnson himself and start already!
