  I suggest you to first download MPLAB and start compiling Demo example codes once you aware of all commands start making new project. You can use MPLAB help.

  yes, I already downloaded and installed it to my PC. I was just having a hard time understanding the basics of programming it.

  Hmm... I think you should learn basics of programming first before programming a microcontroller!!
