  • At CES 2014, Philips has launched a new gaming monitor display that is 27-inch wide and features the Nvidia G-SYNC technology. The Philips Monitor model number 272G5DYEB is a really good gaming partner for appropriate display performance. Those gaming freaks who would freak out at the bad quality of monitors that they use for gaming may find it interesting to go through the tech specs chart of this new widescreen monitor from Philips. It features 300 cd/m2 Brightness, a 1000:1 Contrast Ratio and 170°H/160°V(Typ)(CR=10) viewing angle. At a HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel, the monitor display 16.7M Colors.

The monitor can be wall-mounted and height adjusted at perfect viewing angles by the users. Thanks to NVIDIA G-SYNC, there is a synchronization of display refresh rates to the PC's GPU, eliminating screen tearing and minimizing display stutter and input lag. "This 27-inch Philips monitor is a perfect gaming partner, with G-SYNC technology bringing breakthrough display performance and giving major competitive edge," Chris Brown, TPV Global Product Marketing said in a release. The display can be bought within a few months at $649, (about Rs 40,000 in India)
