Petrovision is a technocratic event organized by the Society of Petroleum Technologists, Department of Chemical Engineering, Alagappa College of Technology. It provides a platform for budding technologists and engineers to harness their innate abilities and inherent talents.
It will be a full-fledged national level technical seminar with lec-dems by eminent personalities from refineries ,offshore and onshore exploration sites, workshops for students, management and technical events to goad the young minds.

Paper Presentation
It is an event where the participants present the results of some scientific investigation or research.
IDP
Industry Defined Problem is a real, applied engineering at its epitome.
The main aim is to bridge the gap between theory and practice by challenging engineers to come up with innovative and creative solutions to crucial real life industrial problems.
The problem could be anything from a key step in any refinery process or finding a use for left-over industrial waste.
The participants are expected to come up with solutions and the best of these solutions will be shortlisted.
The company experts are welcome to judge the finalists and if feasible, they can even implement these ideas.
Heat Exchanger Design
A heat exchanger is a piece of equipment built for efficient heat transfer from one medium to another.
The media may be separated by a solid wall, so that they never mix, or they may be in direct contact.
A shell and tube heat exchanger is a class of heat exchanger designs.
It is the most common type of heat exchanger in oil refineries and other large petrochemical processes.
The main objective of this event is to design an efficient heat exchanger in compliance with certain given criteria.
