B & H Photo Video recently announced the upcoming powerful camera from Pentax. The K-01 camera has a relatively larger aperture (compared to other series of Pentax cameras) and an APS-C sized sensor that gets exposed to more light from the environment. In fact camerasâ performance depends upon the CMOS sensor and the size of the aperture. The larger the aperture size, better is the picture.

Pentax K-01 uses the K mount lens of the SLR segment cameras. However the company did not enclose the bulk-inducing flip-up reflex mirror which is used in SLR optical viewfinders. The technology used for mounting the lens is similar to that of the Sony NEX series mount cameras with APS-C sensors. In a nutshell, the K-01 serves as a mini SLR camera and you donât have to carry bulky cameras for any occasion.
Photographers who are passionate about SLR photography can use this power house as it gives the user, a tremendous SLR cameraâs experience with a heavy shutter sound while taking a snap. In fact everyone loves the heavenly shutter sound. According to the specifications revealed by B & H Photo Video, the Pentax K-01 uses the new pancake lens, Pentax DA 40mm f/2.8 XS which is expected to ship in March.
On the other hand, K-01 uses 16 megapixels sensor with ISO 25,600 specification. The camera can seamlessly record H.264 encoded video in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080p" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">1080P</a> at 30 frames per second or <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/720p" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">720P</a> at 60 fps. Moreover the camera uses the Pentaxâs sensor-shift technology to make your photos shake free.
Nevertheless, the camera has got a pop-up flash and a mode for taking in-camera high dynamic range images making it the ideal device for professional photographers.
