Panasonic introduces Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X smartphones with Arbo smart assistant at Rs. 8999

Japanese tech giant Panasonic has expanded its Eluga Ray series with the launch of two new smartphones named, Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X starting at Rs 8,999 and going up to Rs 12,499. The smartphones are placed at the already crowded segment resulting in a stiff competition from the likes of Redmi Note 4, Redmi 3s Prime, Moto G5 Plus to name a few. To tackle this scenario, Panasonic has loaded its new Eluga rays with the in-house new virtual smart assistant, Arbo.

The virtual assistant Arbo incorporates machine learning to understand the user behavior and provide intelligent personalized usage suggestions. The name 'Arbo' is derived from Esperanto, meaning a framework which is used for supporting climbing plants. Justifying its naming, the assistant learns user behavior along with location and timing thus recognizing the frequently visited places, it sends out prompts to make changes in the phone settings.

It also keeps a record of all the applications running on the smartphone and gathers detailed usage habits which allows it to make useful suggestions accordingly. Depending on your preferences, you can also control how much access the assistant has to your apps and sensitive data and if you want, you can also entirely deactivate the assistant and use your device as it is.
