Olympus Meg4.0 Could Be a Rival To Google's Project Glass

As the memory of the crazy #-Link-Snipped-# remains fresh in our minds, here we have the Japanese mega corporation Olympus displaying their wearable display prototype called the "MEG4.0". This device is powered by bluetooth and though we often hear about Olympus only in the camera and imaging devices arena, Meg4.0 does not feature a camera. It uses a "proprietary optical technology" that as Olympus says, maximizes the visibility of the outside with 2-hours of non-stop projection, Meg4.0 is developed to be ultra-light with a weight of just 30gm (which includes battery).

It is interesting to note that Olympus has been working on these wearable display prototypes #-Link-Snipped-#. Is Google late? Well, the company states in the press release that the device is for general consumers, but there is no word about detailed spec sheet, pricing or availability. We are eager to know more, are you?
