NotionInk's ADAM Tablet Is On Track, Says Rohan Shravan
NotionInk's CEO, Rohan Shravan, recently published a post informing users that they won't have to wait until November 2010 to get ADAM in their hands. The team is working hard on early release of the much awaited tablet that many call 'the iPad killer'.
When launching any product, its very easy to call a product an iAnything killer and create a buzz. Lot of people are interested in anything that may kill Apple's products. But no product has yet managed to do that; and considering Apple's brand and people's unconditional love for Apple it surely is very difficult for any product to do that. But we do love people who dare to do that - at least it keeps the competition alive and keeps inspiring new entrepreneurs.

1. Size & Weight:
Adam: Height - 158 mm, Width - 239 mm, Weight: 600 ~ 650 gm
iPad: Height - 242.8 mm, Widh - 189.7 mm, Weight: 680 - 730 gm
2. Display:
Adam: 10.1" TFT LCD Display @ 1024 x 600 pixels
iPad: 9.7" LED Backlit with IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology.
3. Camera:
Adam: 3.2 MP Swivel camera & Microphone.
iPad: No Video Camera! Oops!
4. Connectivity:
Adam: 3G + WiFi
iPad: WiFi, (WiFi+3G is sold as different model).
5. Battery Life:
Adam: 140 hours of audio, 16 hours of HD video playback.
iPad: 10 hours of Wi-Fi & Video watching.
We believe ADAM scores an edge over the iPad and its got lot of potential. NotionInk has recently raised another round of funding from investors and is looking at selling about 100k devices a month. It would be really interesting to see whether ADAM really kills iPAD.
