Not DataWind But IIT Rajasthan Is Out Of Aakash Tablet League

Several blogs have been writing about the possible kick to London based DataWind - the company that manufactures Aakash tablets to be sold at a price of 2500 - 3000 in India. The fact seems to be that not Datawind, but #-Link-Snipped-# is getting kicked out of the Aakash tablet league. It's important to note that IIT-R has played an important role in the design of the Aakash tablets.

It's not yet clear why the Indian Government is showing IITR the door; but it could possibly because of the '#-Link-Snipped-#' related criteria proposed by IIT Rajasthan officials involved in the Aakash Tablet project.

What do you think about the news? 😀

I'd like to know, what exactly was the contribution of IIT- Rajasthan in "designing" this tablet?
