Non Latin Web Addresses: How does that sound?

ICANN [Internet corporation for assigned names & numbers] is now going to allow website addresses in non-latin script. That means very soon, we'll see website addresses in Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, Russian etc. 😁

Currently, domain names can only be displayed using the Latin alphabet letters A-Z, the digits 0-9 and the hyphen, but in the future countries will be able to display country-code Top Level Domains (cc TLDs) in their native language.

What say you, folks?

happy to see internet literature going away from Latin base, but umm.. I am doubtful about contents. I mean, when i search for a content and its on some other language page , then how am I going to ever come to know about it?is it not limiting the availablity of knowledge?

is it only the domain names which would be non english or the page contents as well?
if page contents are as well non english! oh boy! that would be sad ( I already soemtimes get frustated when i see the material what I search for is in some foriegn language)

It will be the biggest trouble,
having keyboards to type in non-English languages.
