Unveiled in November earlier this year, the Nokia’s Android tablet- Nokia N1 is all set for a launch on January 7 in China. Putting rest to rumors, the company made an official announcement on Thursday on the Chinese social network site Weibo. The tablet is Nokia’s first product after the Microsoft acquisition which forces the company to no longer use the Nokia brand on smartphones till 2016. With this tablet, Nokia hopes to make a comeback into the mobile market.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Nokia N1 flaunts a 7.9-inch IPS panel with LED backlight, Gorilla Glass 3 and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is powered by a 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 64-bit quad-core processor along with 2GB RAM, 32GB in-built storage which cannot be expanded using a microSD card. The tablet sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and 5MP front camera and 1080p video recording and comes with Nokia Z launcher. Other options include Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, two 0.5 W stereo speakers, 6-axis Gyro and Accelerometer. It packs a 5300mAh battery, weighs 318 g and is available in two colors: Natural Aluminum or Lava Gray.
