Nokia Maps Gets Groupon Now! Deals, Advanced Route Planning Enabled Too

After an #-Link-Snipped-#, Nokia now provides a new version of Nokia Maps for Lumia devices. In the new version, Nokia Maps takes user requests into account and provides for Advanced Route Planning. This much awaited feature can help the user mark two points and establish the mode of transportation, either by foot or car. In available locations, this will make use only of the public transportation to get you to your destination. The routes can also be pinned to the start screen for easy access and shared among other users.

Nokia is also working with Groupon Now! to provide you with extensive details about deals available while searching on Nokia Maps. The search results are accompanied with the trademark G of Groupon to highlight them. For the time being, this service is limited to USA.

Windows Phone Marketplace will notify the users once this free upgrade becomes available. Nokia has requested the users to be patient as this upgraded version 2.5 will take some time to be published depending on the region where the customer resides. Users can access this upgraded application on Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 900.
