  • Nokia had launched the Nokia Asha 502 smartphone back in October along with Nokia Asha 500 and Asha 503 at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi. Available in the vibrant color range that includes bright red, bright green, yellow, cyan, white, and black, the Nokia Asha 502 features a new hardware design that combines two finely-crafted layers of polycarbonate: a vibrantly coloured core, beneath a strong transparent layer. The combination captures and reflects light and colour beautifully, without adding to the size or weight. On the official tech specs list, the Asha 502 has a 3-inch screen with 320 x 240 pixels resolution and supports Dual SIM cards.

The phone is now available for buying on the official #-Link-Snipped-#. Right now, the website offers a 17% discount, making the price in India as Rs. 5,739, while the actual price remains Rs. 6,889. The Nokia Asha 502 features a 5 megapixel rear camera with 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution and support for Flash and 4x digital zoom. It can also record videos at 15 fps. However, sadly, there's no front camera for making video calls back home. On the storage front, the phone provides 64 MB internal memory and microSD card support to expand the memory up to 32 GB.

Running the Nokia OS, on this phone we have a Nokia Asha software platform 1.1 and there's the conventional BL-5A 1,010mAH battery that powers the phone and offers a talk time of 13.7 hours and 24 days standby. The phone weighs just 100 gm and on the connectivity front, it extends support to GPRS, WLAN, Bluetooth 3.0, Micro USB 2.0 and 2G. Inside the package, the user shall find a High Efficiency Charger AC-20, Nokia Battery BL-5A 1010 mAh, Nokia Stereo Headset WH-108, Nokia 4 GB microSD Card and a User Guide. Coming pre-installed with the apps such as Nokia Express Browser, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp etc., the phone can be purchased with a 1 year warranty.

An increased RAM and a better screen size will do good to Nokia Asha.
