Nissan Leaf Limousine Gets The Zero-Emission Electric Ride

After Nissan's #-Link-Snipped-# was revealed last year, it garnered a lot of good reviews. Now, Missouri-based Imperial LimoLand has started using a stretched version of the car called 'LEAF Limousine' to shuttle guests in the Embassy Suites of Nashville South hotel. The hotel that wants to keep its service luxurious as well as green, got the modified version of LEAF but kept most of the essential parts intact. There is still just one 24 kWh battery pack, but it now sits in the back for balance. The center of the car has now put a few extra pounds, 400 to be precise, to make room for 6-people seating in plush leather interiors.

It is interesting to see how the world is making different uses of the same car. Last month we told you about the #-Link-Snipped-# that uses the car's batteries to power homes. "The LEAF will be primarily VIP car service, anybody who is looking for that special treatment to get around in the area,” said Trevor Goulding, director of sales for Embassy Suites of the Hotel. The passengers are saying that the ride feels very smooth. One can’t even really hear the engine running. It is good to see the world taking steps towards being green. What do you think about the luxurious car for the eco-friendly guys? Share with us in comments.
