NIKE's SPARQ Vapor Strobe Eyewear May Make You A Better Athlete

As a means to improve an athlete's sensory perception, sharpness of vision, and brain’s judgement for that *perfect* timing Nike has come up with a set of strobing goggles, called the SPARQ Vapor Strobe Eyewear. The SPARQ Sensory Performance system analyzes an athlete's visual performance abilities and generates a unique training program for him/her which requires the athlete to sport those goggles which would block the vision for a short period of time, thus compelling the athlete to anticipate what's forthcoming.

And these tests are backed up by the Duke University research which demonstrates that the SPARQ system certainly does increase visual skills and also betters athletes’ reaction times. The system seemingly has been readied in beta, and shall be rolled out globally soon. How this improvement works out at the play-field is something to watch out for, but it's not like NIKE is the only fish swimming in this sea. DARPA and the DoD have been exploring technological tools that they could use in assisting an athlete. And with the level of coordination they promise, we can pretty much expect them to use these tech in other fields as well.
