If you own a MacBook Air or Pro, adding memory without using an external hard disk drive, means going through the hassle of ripping your Dear Mac open with a screwdriver. So, Nifty MiniDrive is here to help you skip all that. The MiniDrive fits  inside the SD card slot of the 13" MacBook Air and becomes a part of it. The team behind this novel idea created the first working protoype by 3D printing it out of aircraft grade aluminium. Once it goes inside the slot, how does it come out? Well, the team offers a specially designed eyelet that hooks a paperclip at the front of the device.

<div>What we love about these MiniDrives is that they could be our once set and forget back-up solution. The team boasts of indestructibility of the MicroSD cards used here by saying that they can survive underwater for over 24 hours and magnets or X-rays don't affect them. If users set a daily back-up of their critical files, their important data will not be lost in an event of a disaster. Moreover, this format supports a Micro SD card of up to 2TB size.
