New Project Idea: Smart Wi-Fi Module

Have you noticed how many times the Wi-Fi in our mobile, laptops and tablets remains idle and keeps on consuming power? I just got an idea which could be your final year or third year project. The idea is to develop a smart wifi module which will turn itself off once it remains idle for say 30 seconds. Similar to the power saving mechanisms offered by laptops 😀

That's just a basic idea now you may expand it further. Say what?
