New iPad Overheating Issue? You're Not Alone!

It looks like the new iPad has overheating issues. Apple's support forum is now #-Link-Snipped-# with questions, answers & feedback about the possible heating issue the new iPad is suffering from. If your iPad is getting overheated after about 30 minutes of usage; be assured that you are not the only one. Several new iPad owners are reporting that the 3rd generation iPad gets more warmer than iPad 2 and the problem seems to be common across all the versions of the new iPad. Browsing through the forum posts, it looks like the problem area is around the lower left corner of the tablet. The degree of overheating isn't uniform through. For some of the users, it just got 'warmer' while others say they couldn't hold the tablet because of overheating after about 30 minutes of usage.

The new iPad has larger battery than the iPad 2 and also features a faster processor. That indicates that the new iPad would be warmer than the iPad 2 during regular usage. Similar issues were reported for the original iPad and iPad 2 as well. New iPad's operating temperature ranges from 32-95 degrees. One 'might work' tip we'd like to give to our readers who're planning to buy new iPad is not to charge it unless the initial, residual battery drops down to 0%. That is, only charge your new iPad after it completely discharges. Then follow the complete (100%) charging & discharging (0%) cycles at least 8-10 times. Apple is yet to comment on the issue reported by users officially. In the mean time, we'd like to know from our readers whether their iPad is just a little 'warmer' or is actually 'overheating'?
