New Flickr Design Design Unveiled!
The new design includes a cover photo at the top, tiled view for your photostream that maintains the resolution, sleek UI in the Flickr app and many more advances in the interface. They have included terms like Biggr, which is for the increased storage, Spectaculr, for being able to upload full resolution images and Wherevr, to be able to upload photos on the go from your Android or iOS device, which is a sign of a mock up to Tumblr. Another advantage of Flickr would be that you could share your photos on other platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Tumblr. Flickr currently houses 89 million people worldwide who have contributed around 8 billion photographs.
At the same event, they also announced that they have found a new office at the old New York Times building for its 500 New York employees with space for an expansion for another 200. The revelation of the new design for Flickr was not connected to the acquisition of Tumblr as emphasized by Mayer.
