The device features a new processor that's 25 percent faster than earlier Kindle models. The page-turnings and book-openings have been made faster for a seamless user experience. The screen incorporates the latest capacitive touch technology, that responds sharp even to the slightest of touches. Also, this new Kindle Paperwhite includes better contrast levels. The company has introduced a new Page Flip feature, that lets readers skim through the pages, scan chapters, and view the very end page for a quickie look. Shunning the back-lit display adorned by many tablets, the device guides light towards the surface offering a comfortable strain-free read. Apart from this, a Smart Lookup feature, complete with a dictionary, X-Ray and Wikipedia link lets readers access definitions, settings, characters, without shifting to another device. Now only if it could make calls.
