    I have 2 years of experience. I am handling all seo project in company. I can do on page, off page seo , social media marketing,ORM. I have also worked as manual tester. My current salary is 15k. Now i want to shift my company. I am confused which profile has more future scope. I am from technical background(B tech cse). can you please help me??????????? Give me direction which skills i should acquire to get good salary (atleast 25k)?

    You haven't told us if there are growth opportunities in your current organisation. Also, have you looked at existing opportunities as SEO specialist?

    Hi Kaustubh, My company want me to work on both profiles. I am working as manual tester and seo specialist. My next increment will be after a year (near 5k). My age is 25 . I am not sure about future of SEO. So i want a secure career. Please advise me where should i go now????????

    I'm not sure what are the problems you are facing with your existing job. You're getting skilled in both domains and you should be able to decide which one is for you. Your salary will be a function of so many factors - your employer, market conditions, your skills-set, project you are working on etc. There's no magic formula that will help you grow your salary.

    If more pay is what you want, you can negotiate it with your existing employer or look for newer opportunities. In my opinion, testing seems to be a better option over SEO; but it's your choice. I cannot tell you what's right and what's wrong.

    If testing is what you decide for your career, you should start enhancing your skills-set with automation testing and bit of programming. Get an advance level certification in testing and start looking for job.

    If working in SEO industry makes you unsure about its future - then you already know the answer. It's got no future.

    Yes you are right i know the answer but i am confused. Testing is better option but i have no time to enhance my skill with automated tools . Their is no senior person in my company who can help me in automate testing or advise me about certification etc. If i will leave this company i am not going to get any firm who can let me work on 2 domains. I guess i have to spend my weekends on this if i seriously want to work as tester.
