Motorola Launches Atrix 2 - How Is It Different From The First Atrix?

Motorola launched its new smart phone model “MOTOROLA ATRIX 2” right after 10 months of the launch of its model “MOTOROLA ATRIX” earlier this year on February 22nd. The price of the two models though differs vastly. Atrix 2 is priced at $99.99, that is around $100 less than the previous model.

Features: The design of the model has even and stylish curves, softer corners and smooth edges. Both the models have a lot in common. There are just slight variations in the Motorola Atrix 2. The display size is 4.3 – inches with a resolution of 960 X 540. It is processed with a 1 GHz Dual Core TI OPAM 4430 processor and has a RAM size of 1GB. It has a battery of 1785mAh and a VGA front – facing camera. It has total dimension of 126 X 66 X 10 mm that makes it taller and wider that Atrix that measured 117.5 X 63.5 X 10.95 mm.

The resolution is because of the Pentile matrix pattern. The back camera of the model is of 8 MP with LED flash. It has slot for 2 GB micro SD card. It offers less amount of storage as compared to the Atrix model. It has a better network performance of value 21.1 Mbps HSPA though Atrix offered only 14.4Mbps HSPA. The model has inbuilt in – pocket detection. This means that the phone will automatically get locked once it is put into the pocket. It has a 108op HD video capture. It offers various modes like the scene mode, macro focus, brightness adjust and panorama mode. The camera has has a little shutter time delay enhancing some lag. The battery life of Atrix 2 is much better than the previous models, almost an hour more than Atrix 4G. The model functions on Android 2.3 and has Webtop functionality.
