Motorized Skates By spnKiX - Adds 85kW To Your Feet

Ever since I learned to skate, I've been fancying motorized skates. Kickstarter backed, #-Link-Snipped-# has launched motorized skates for all the lazy skating enthusiasts for just $699. Alright, that's not cheap; but the 'coolness' factor it brings is surely worth the price (check the video below and get convinced). All the hardware and electronic circuitry is enclosed inside a fiber reinforced nylon. You get one motor and a battery per foot. The skates come with a wireless remote control that let you speed both the skates at the same time and control the acceleration.

Those interested in the technical aspects of the spnKiX may note that that max speed is capped at 13-15 kmph, the product weight is 4kg each and you can go 6 miles (9.6 km) per charge. A 80V-240V is included which takes about 5 hours to charge the li-ion batteries. But before you wear the skates, make sure that you weigh lesser than 81.6kg.

Do check out the video below and tell us your opinion about these motorized skates.
