On both, may be. But I am yet to get deep and dirty in Wordpress. I am rather staying in the comfort zones of Blogger at the moment.
Anyhow, I'd love to take up the badges idea. Only that, it will be slightly constrained due to heavy college works this month.

Hi guys, after a little while, I've made some CE badges
For now, the badges cover some major engineering trades: Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil
Each have different colours and related background art work.

I'll make a few in bigger size and post here soon. I think we can have a maximum dimension of 200x200 px without exceeding the limit of a 'badge' 😉

About making them brighter, do you mean the background, or the foreground text?

Hmm, but then again, electronics is also in green. I think we can have badges in all colours for all trades.
But, doesn't having a single colour scheme make it more uniform? 😀

The badges look awesome. If CEans want to use them on their blogs, I think we'll need variety of sizes 😀 . They can also be used in avatars on CE - but I'll have to make arrangements for bigger image sizes.

The procedure to add the badge to your site is very simple: Just copy the code given the box below the image and paste it in your wordpress sidebar widget or add to blogger.

A trailing slash indicates 'directory'. For example, /forum is different from /forum/ , the former represents a file and the later represents a folder. Useful when linking to the sites - the appropriate location helps in better and correct linking.
