Microsoft's cloud storage service SkyDrive is getting a significant overhaul today. With the launch of SkyDrive.com, Microsoft brings an all-in-one website for all browsers that is customized for PCs as well as tablets with features like - instant search, contextual toolbar, thumbnail multi-select, drag-and-drop organization, and HTML5 sorting. In a detailed #-Link-Snipped-#, the Windows team shares with us the work that has went into bringing for us a tile-based layout for all our folders and files and an improved UI. We also have important updates in SkyDrive for Windows Desktop & OS X in features such as the photo uploads and the local SkyDrive folder.

As you can see from the image above, 'SkyDrive for Android' is the new app that works just like the one for iOS and allows you to browse/upload/share your files on SkyDrive. Apart from this, there is some good news for developers as well. Those of you who use SkyDrive API for building apps can now store or access any type of file in a person’s SkyDrive with No more file restrictions and full control over photo upload resolution. You also get Open and Save file pickers by addition of a few lines of JavaScript to any website. We would love to read your reviews.
