Microsoft Rolls Out Windows 8 Updates Ahead Of The Launch- Packs More Punch In The Performance

Microsoft today announced a few updates for the upcoming Windows 8 (set for release on October 26th) on the official #-Link-Snipped-#. Unlike the earlier Windows versions, where Microsoft issued updates straight to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and you had to wait till they launched the service/update packs, now you can get these updates directly from Microsoft. No need to wait at all for the OEMs' services. As the blog states, "Windows 8 will be totally up to date for all customers starting at General Availability."

The new updates shall be delivering more power efficiency that extends battery life, improvements in the Windows 8 apps and the Start screen, better audio/video playback in various scenarios and an improved application and driver compatibility with Windows 8.
