Microsoft Now Supports Bitcoins for Payment in US

Tech giant Microsoft announced that the company has started accepting Bitcoins for purchases of digital content. Users in the US can now be able to make purchases from select Microsoft online stores via Bitcoins. With this advancement, users can buy games, content on Windows, Windows Phone, Xbox etc. without hustle. It is worth noting that technology advisor Bill Gates earlier said that his non-profit organization, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, was interested in digital currency technology.
Microsoft has partnered with Georgia-based BitPay for Bitcoin arrangements. However, the company explained that users can add Bitcoins to Microsoft account and use them later for buying digital goods, but currently it canât be used for purchasing Microsoft products or services. In short, Bitcoin is not the primary mode of payment for the company and has limited usage. With this announcement, Microsoft has joined the league of other players like Dell and PayPal that accept Bitcoins.

Along with the guidelines, are the things to keep in mind while using Bitcoin with Microsoft account. One must-know thing is that the money added to account would not be refunded back to user.
